AIEF partners and supporters among Australia's biggest philanthropists

Corporate giving reached an all-time high in Australia in 2020 and we weren’t surprised to see that many of AIEF’s major partners and supporters were among the most generous donors!

Among the 50 companies digging deepest amidst the turbulence of the past year, BHP took out the number one spot, with Commonwealth Bank following closely at number three.

Other AIEF partners and supporters included in the list were South32 (8), KPMG (16), Future Generation Australia (26), Crown Resorts (28), Fortescue Metals (the company behind the Minderoo Foundation) (39), News Corp Australia (40) and Qantas (49).

Together, these nine companies gave almost $400 million to areas including Indigenous affairs, education, health and mental health, youth, the arts and the environment among other issues. To our partners and major supporters, we thank you for your enduring commitment to improving the lives of young Indigenous people and wider Australia.

In my own life, education has been a key to unlock both opportunity and ambition. For young Indigenous Australians, the same key should be available and AIEF makes that possible.
