St Augustine’s College offers AIEF Scholarships for boarding students.

St Augustine’s College 2023 Report
Glen Seivers, Principal

In 2023 St Augustine’s College enjoyed another successful year in supporting the education goals of 15 AIEF Scholarship Students.  We were pleased to continue working in partnership with AIEF to break down barriers and create opportunities for Indigenous students in Australia.

A highlight of our partnership this year was the AIEF Graduation held in Sydney in June.  It was a momentous occasion for St Augustine’s College as two of our remarkable students, Tobias and Abu-Jon, had the honour of participating in the graduation ceremony.  This event not only celebrated their academic achievements but also highlighted the broader impact of AIEF’s investment in their education.

Tobias and Abu-Jon’s journey to Sydney for the graduation was a testament to the opportunities AIEF provides for students to engage in meaningful experiences beyond the classroom.  It was a powerful reminder of the life-changing impact that AIEF has on the aspirations and dreams of Indigenous students.

This year, the College has awarded three new AIEF Scholarships to three well deserving students, and this will benefit these boys and their families significantly.  We look forward to working with these boys over the next few years.  Their schooling and educational futures look very promising.

AIEF’s mentorship programs, resources, and opportunities for personal and academic development have created a supportive and nurturing environment for our AIEF scholars.  As a result, we have seen these students not only excel academically but also develop leadership skills and a strong sense of community engagement.

At St Augustine’s College, we value the partnership with AIEF as it aligns with our commitment to providing quality education and fostering an inclusive and empowering learning environment.  We are proud to be part of a collaborative effort that is making a significant difference in the lives of Indigenous students.

In 2024, St Augustine’s College looks forward to continuing to create more opportunities for Indigenous students to realise their full potential.
