On 24 October participants of the AIEF Mentor Program in Brisbane celebrated another successful year at the Programs end of year event.
15 students from St Peters Lutheran College, St Joseph’s Nudgee College, Clayfield College and Marist College Ashgrove, and 12 mentors from HSBC Bank Australia, the Commonwealth Bank, Leighton Contractors, KPMG and BP Australia took part in an afternoon of lawn bowls and a barbeque dinner.
The afternoon was a chance for students and mentors to meet in a relaxed environment, and it gave pairs an opportunity to get to know each other better, as well as others in the program. Over dinner, the group heard from Jeremy and Linton, who shared about their experience in the program.
Pairs were also encouraged to make a plan for keeping in touch over the Christmas break and all are looking forward to the continuation of the Program in 2014.
