Leighton Contractors Unlocked Workshop is a highly interactive half-day workshop in which students are exposed to a diverse range of careers, pathways and the professional work place environment and culture.
In August 2011, students from AIEF Partner Schools in Sydney had the opportunity to listen, learn and interact with a selection of Leighton Contractors mentors representing different parts of their business. The mentors worked with students to enhance their industry knowledge, employability skills and emotional intelligence. The workshop included activities based upon team work, communication and problem solving.
This activity It is part of the AIEF Post-School Pathways Program, which offers a wide range of work-readiness activities and support to help students transition from school into further study and careers. The aim of the program is to inform them about career options and provide one-on-one support to develop and achieve their career goals.
