On 18 October 2013 AIEFs Corporate Partner BHP Billiton announced a further $10 million investment in AIEFs Scholarship Program at a breakfast in Perth. The breakfast was attended by representatives from BHP Billiton and AIEF, including BHP Billiton Iron Ore President Jimmy Wilson and AIEF Chair Warren Mundine, and AIEF Scholarship Students and staff from AIEF Partner Schools in Western Australia. Also in attendance were Ken Wyatt AM MP, Member for Hasluck; Alannah MacTiernan MP, Member for Perth; and Lee Ann Tan, Deputy Director General, Department of Aboriginal Affairs. The Moorditj Mob from AIEF Partner School Wesley College performed at the breakfast. BHP Billitons further investment will fund additional school and university scholarships across Australia with a focus on children from the Pilbara and students from Western Australia.
