After graduating from Marist College Ashgrove in 2014, AIEF Alum Darnell Fisher was accepted into the Australian Army as a rifleman. In June 2015, Darnell successfully completed the recruit training course and his family, including his grandfather Uncle Eric Law, a Vietnam veteran, were proud to witness his marching out parade at Kapooka Army Recruit Training Centre in Wagga Wagga.
Darnell was motivated to pursue a career with the Army after attending the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Exercise First Look program last year, where 21 AIEF students learned about the range of training and career opportunities in the ADF. Uncle Eric Law was among the mentors who generously volunteered to guide students on the program.
