During Term 4 AIEF held Year 7-9 activities for students in Queensland, Victoria, NSW, SA and WA.

Students in Sydney and Armidale engaged in a ‘Draw your Dream Australia’ activity and produced some great artworks to illustrate their dreams for the future of Australia. Artworks included the Aboriginal flag atop the Sydney Harbour Bridge, a healthy, colourful Great Barrier Reef, and Uluru standing strong in the desert.

In Brisbane, an afternoon of activities was generously hosted by AFL Queensland, with students enjoying games including footy baseball, kick tennis and Borrigin, an Indigenous ball game.

In Townsville, students enjoyed a barbecue and heard from AIEF Alum Penibo Wasiu (St Saviour’s College, 2015) about the AIEF Alumni Program.

Students in Cairns had an afternoon of games including human bingo, while in Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide students came together for fun evenings of trivia.

These activities are a great opportunity for AIEF students to connect with each other, build their teamwork skills and to strengthen their sense of belonging to the wider AIEF cohort.
