QLD students and mentors met for the AIEF Mentor Program kick off event at the Queensland Museum in Brisbane on 23 February. The group, including volunteer mentors from the Commonwealth Bank, KPMG, Qantas, BP Australia and Allens, participated in a session facilitated by Alethea Beetson at the museums Dandiiri Maiwar (Indigenous) space, before heading down to Southbank for dinner. Pairs took part in a few activities and discussed their goals for the next 12 months. The mentors really enjoyed learning more about Indigenous culture with their students and it was a great chance for pairs to reconnect after the holidays.
