In October 2011, four Indigenous students from AIEF Partner School, St Peters Lutheran College in Brisbane were invited to travel to Sydney and join Commonwealth Bank CEO Ralph Norris at an intimate boardroom lunch only weeks before his retirement from Australias largest bank.
Food for Thought is a series of boardroom luncheons bringing Indigenous students together with CEOs and senior managers of AIEFs corporate partners to build their networking skills. It is part of the AIEF Post-School Pathways Program, which offers a wide range of work-readiness activities and support to help students transition from school into further study and careers. The aim of the program is to inform them about career options and provide one-on-one support to develop and achieve their career goals.
