On 21 October 2016 His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Governor of Queensland and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted the AIEF Year 12 Graduation ceremony for scholarship students from schools in QLD at Government House in Brisbane.
39 Year 12 students attended alongside teachers, mentors and representatives from AIEF Corporate and Foundation Partners Commonwealth Bank, Qantas, HSBC, SAP, Allens, AFL QLD and the Cathy Freeman Foundation.
After the ceremony students, teachers, mentors and AIEF Alumni gathered for an afternoon tea, where Jamika from Ipswich Girls Grammar School and Kobe from St Augustines College spoke on behalf of the graduating class, sharing their journeys and reflecting on the milestone of graduation.
