On 18 August, AIEF Scholarship Students from schools across Australia attended the online AIEF Learn It! Live It! Work Readiness Workshop.

Representatives from Commonwealth Bank’s Start Smart program led a financial literacy session on the importance of financial goals, budgeting and saving. These skills will help the Year 12 students to make confident financial choices as they prepare for life after school.

The team from Allens led a valuable session on job interview techniques. This was a great opportunity for students to gain the skills they need to make a great impression on potential employers. AIEF Alumni Gabrielle Ebsworth (Kincoppal-Rose Bay School, 2015), Robert Thatcher (St Joseph’s Nudgee College, 2012), Tanika Davis (Kincoppal-Rose Bay School, 2011) and Bernard Kelly (Melbourne Grammar School, 2013) joined the online event to share the career paths they have taken with students and talk about the support available from AIEF after graduation.

AIEF Ambassador Nova Peris OAM also shared her journey and message of resilience with the Class of 2020, reminding them to “keep safe, stay strong and study hard!”
